Caitlin's Dance Recital

Well, we have survived recital week. Two dance classes, one dress rehearsal, and two recital performances. Caitlin did a great job. Her ballet routine was a little longer this year than it was last year and she also had jazz on top of that. Chloe kept asking me if it was her turn. She will get to start ballet in the fall and Caitlin is going to try out tap instead of jazz. Here are the videos from the recital. The ballet one is pretty good except for being a little jumpy. Chloe was sitting on my lap. The jazz routine is a shortened version. She was in the back and you couldn't see her. Enjoy!!

Graduation Day!!

I can't believe a year has went by. Caitlin graduated from Kindergarten on Thursday. She was so proud. She couldn't wait to be a first grader and she was very happy to find that she can go visit Mrs. Ryan and Ms. Roxie, her teachers, next year whenever she wants to. I sent to school on Friday. She came with all kinds of stuff and she said she had so much fun. There was only six kids there and she got to help clean up and visit other classes. She is getting so big!!

Memorial Day Weekend

We spent Memorial Day weekend in the northern pandhandle of West Virginia with Nana and PapPap. Nana, the girls, and me spent Saturday visiting, shopping, playing in the park and we even squeezed in a movie. Sunday we went to church and had lunch at MeMe's and Pap Pap's. Then Sunday evening we made an unplanned trip to Kennywood. The girls were very excited about going to the "music" park. Chloe was the daredevil and wanted to everything no matter how high it went. Caitlin on the other hand wanted nothing to do with any ride that went above 10 feet. Here are some pictures from the evening.

Memorial Day, we went to the Pittsburgh Zoo. We had a nice weather which made a great day. We got to see baby elephants, baby otters, and baby beavers. I included some pictures of the zoo.

It Has Been A Busy Month!!

Things have been a little on the busy side the past month. Since I posted last: we have assembled the trampoline the girls got for Christmas, Caitlin started soccer, extra dance classes, and conference at church. The easy assembly that was stated on the trampoline box failed to include the word time consuming. We spent the entire Saturday afternoon putting it together. The girls were very anxious. Chloe serenaded us by singing, "I can't wait much longer". But once it was up, we had to pry them off. After their bath, they were out in about 5 minutes.

Our church's annual conference was the last week of April. The services were awesome. The ladies of the church make meals for all the people who attend the services. Chloe got to help make lasagna. She had a blast!!

Soccer season is in full swing. Caitlin absolutely loves it. She has improved so much since the fall season. She has scored a least 1 goal every game, and last season she only scored 1 the whole season. I made a slideshow of some of the soccer pictures.

I have added a couple pictures of the girls dressed up for church and a picture of them with their cousins Emily and Grace. The next month and half are going to continue being busy. Camp planning at church is in full swing. I am in charge of the dance session so I have been checking out songs for that. We have a zoo trip planned for Memorial Day weekend so that will probably be the next post.

Easter Activities

So, I thought I take a stab at this blogging stuff just so family can see pictures of the girls more often. We colored some eggs on Saturday even though the girls had already colored some last weekend with their friend Paige and her grammy. Of course, they absolutely loved it. For Easter, we got the girls a soccer goal. Caitlin will get more use out of right now, but Chloe has already enjoyed it today. They also got a beach towel, gardening gloves and spade, and a little bit of candy. I don't buy them a whole bunch of candy because they always get some from Sonya and the egg hunt. My mom's family always has a covered dish and egg hunt on Easter. They hid thousands of eggs, which are all full of candy. The girls loved it even though it was a little breezy. Sonya gave them each a kite, which we were going to save for the beach this summer, but they had to get them out today. Caitlin figured out how to put them together. I had to go out and help them out because they kept getting the kites stuck in the pear tree. I have attached a slide show so you can check all the excitement of the weekend.
